Three years ago, Wild Hydrogen was founded with a bold vision: to turn biogenic materials and even waste into clean hydrogen and biomethane, tackling industrial emissions head-on. As we mark our third anniversary, we are proud to reflect on the remarkable progress we’ve made over the past year, setting the stage for even greater impact in the future.
A year of major milestones
Over the past 12 months, we have made significant strides in advancing our technology, growing our team, and securing key partnerships to accelerate the commercialisation of our solution. Some of the key highlights include:
- £3M raised towards our £6M seed round, helping us scale and bring our technology to market.
- Winners of the SETsquared Clean Superpower: Net Zero Award, recognising our innovative approach to clean energy.
- Launched our first public crowdfunding campaign on Republic Europe, inviting individual investors to support our mission.
- Secured our site at Meadow Mill, marking a major step towards deploying our first commercial demonstrator.
- Advanced our technology, reaching TRL 6 for the Mini and reengineering the Micro to TRL 5, bringing us closer to large-scale implementation.
- Expanded partnerships, including working with leading industrial players such as Wales & West Utilities to explore how our technology can support decarbonisation.
- Achieved ISO 45001 accreditation, demonstrating our unwavering commitment to occupational health and safety.
- Grew our team to 16, strengthening our expertise and capability as we push towards commercial deployment.
