Our current seed round
We are currently raising £6 million in our third seed round, with £2 million already secured. The funds will drive our growth in three key areas:
Commercial Demonstrator Development: Major funding will go towards designing a 1 MW demonstrator, crucial for validating our technology at scale and attracting future partnerships.
R&D Investment: We’ll focus on enhancing our RiPR technology, exploring new feedstocks, and optimising carbon capture through industrial collaborations.
Operational Expansion: Funds will support building infrastructure and recruiting top talent across engineering, production, and business development.
THE TECHNOLOGY
How it works
Our RiPR technology is – at its heart – very simple. It turns biogenic material into hydrogen through supercritical water gasification (SCWG).
Biogenic material is anything generated by living organisms. This includes things like plant matter but also hydrocarbons such as plastics.
THE OUTPUTS
Commercial Potential
Our RiPR technology transforms wet biogenic material into four commercially viable products: bio-methane, hydrogen, captured carbon dioxide and biochar.
Having four commercially viable products – each with their distinct possible markets – lays out several pathways to profitability for our technology.
THE PATENT
Intellectual Property
Wild Hydrogen owns the complete intellectual property for our RiPR technology and holds the patent.
This patent has now been extended to the United States, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Canada, India, South Korea and Japan.
GOING FORWARDS
Next steps
Our current seed round is a crucial step in advancing Wild Hydrogen’s mission. The funds raised will fuel critical research and development focused on the design and engineering of our 1 MW commercial demonstrator.
Following this, our focus will move to production and deploying larger RiPR units.
