Our current seed round
We are currently raising £6 million in our third seed round, with £3 million already secured from cornerstone investors, crowdfunding and non-dilutive grants. This round will de-risk and scale our technology, positioning RiPR for commercial deployment and a subsequent Series A. Funding will be directed towards three priority areas:
• Commercial readiness: Full FEED for our production-scale RiPR unit, advancing the system to TRL9 and preparing it for market entry.
• De-risking continuous production: Validation of continuous hydrogen and biomethane generation, demonstrating reliability, performance and commercial viability.
• Operational resilience: Strengthening our supply chain and establishing a 2,500 sqm factory in Eastington to support early manufacturing and rapid deployment.
£3 million unlocks market readiness, ensuring RiPR is proven at scale and ready for rollout as a modular, carbon-negative energy solution.
THE TECHNOLOGY
How it works
RiPR is built around a straightforward but powerful idea: using supercritical water reforming (SCWR) to convert biogenic material into hydrogen, biomethane and biochar while capturing carbon dioxide. By operating in the supercritical state, water becomes an exceptionally effective medium for breaking down complex organic matter, allowing us to reform even difficult, wet or low-value feedstocks cleanly and efficiently.
Biogenic material refers to anything derived from living organisms – from agricultural residues and food waste to plant-based matter – but it also includes hydrocarbons such as certain plastics. RiPR’s ability to process this wide spectrum of inputs is what makes it so versatile, enabling true waste-to-energy transformation with carbon-negative outcomes.

THE OUTPUTS
Commercial Potential
RiPR converts wet biogenic material into four high-value outputs – biomethane, hydrogen, captured carbon dioxide and biochar – each with its own established and growing market.
This multi-product model creates several routes to profitability, reducing risk and increasing resilience for both Wild Hydrogen and our customers. By delivering multiple revenue streams from a single process, RiPR offers a commercially compelling pathway to low cost, carbon-negative energy.
THE PATENT
Intellectual Property
Wild Hydrogen owns the complete intellectual property for our RiPR technology and holds the patent.
This patent has now been extended to the United States, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, Canada, India, South Korea and Japan.

GOING FORWARDS
Next steps
The next phase of our development is already underway. Our pilot plant, supported by Innovate UK, goes live in summer 2026, enabling continuous testing, independent validation by CPI and large-scale feedstock trials.
From 2029, we will move into full production of RiPR units from our Eastington facility, rolling out systems from 1 MW to 25 MW to meet the growing demand for reliable, carbon-negative energy solutions.
